DKT International (DKT) is a charitable non-profit organization that promotes family planning and HIV prevention through social marketing. DKT was founded in 1989 by Phil Harvey and operates in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
In 2016, DKT sold over 604 million condoms, 88 million cycles of oral contraceptives, 25 million injectable contraceptives and 5 million intrauterine devices (IUDs). An equivalent to 33 million couple years of protection (CYPs), making DKT one of the largest private providers of contraceptives in the developing world. DKT works with health workers and clinics that provide family planning products, information, and services. In 2014, Charity Navigator gave DKT a four-star rating, with 93.8% of its budget going towards programs and 6.1% towards administration and fund raising in 2014.
DKT International operates 22 programs in Mexico, Brazil, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, West Africa, Turkey, India, Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Myanmar, and the Philippines.

DKT Kenya was incorporated in 2015, a regionally-focused enterprise based in Nairobi, Kenya that serves the neighboring countries of Kenya and Uganda.  DKT aims to inject some much-needed energy into the private sector market in these two countries and raise the bar for brands in this crucial place. Our approach, which is fast-paced, innovative, and results-oriented, will allow us to respond to changing consumer demands in these vibrant countries.  DKT has introduced a wide range of high-quality, affordable, and exciting brands of contraceptive and sexual health products to the market through well established distribution and supply chain mechanisms.
